Pamer Lab

Hailing from Queens, New York, Sophie graduated from Cornell University in 2017 with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in East Asian studies. She spent the following two years working at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a Research Technician optimizing the use of bacterial transcriptional signatures for rapid microbial diagnostic technology.  Sophie joined the Medical Scientist Training Program a the University of Chicago in 2019 as part of the Committee on Immunology, and joined the Pamer Lab in September, 2020.  Her research interests generally revolve around the interactions between microbes and host that cause or augment pathogenic states.
