Pamer Lab

After 4 years with the Pamer Lab as a postdoc, Matt Sorbara is joining the University of Guelph as an Assistant Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology effective September 1st.  Matt’s primary research focus in the Pamer lab was the mechanisms of colonization resistance against Klebsiella, with an emphasis on identifying symbiotic bacterial strains isolated from healthy human donors that reestablish colonization resistance following antibiotic treatment.  He will continue investigating Klebsiella at the University of Guelph, with the goal of designing microbiota-based therapeutics.  We wish him the best in his future endeavors!
