Rita Oliveira joined the Pamer Lab in June, 2021 as a postdoctoral Scholar.  Rita received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the  Faculty of Science at Lisbon University in Portugal.  She went on to receive her PhD from the Gulbenkian Institute of Science where she studied quorum sensing manipulation of the gut microbiota.  In the Pamer Lab, Rita plans to study the host and microbiota role in colonization resistance against Klebisella pneumoniae.
