Matthew Sorbara, PhD
Postdoctoral Scholar
Matthew received his PhD in 2016 from the University of Toronto. During his PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Dana Philpott, he studied the autophagy and inflammatory responses to infection with intracellular pathogens. In 2016, he continued his work on the induction and targeting of autophagy in response to infection as postdoctoral scholar in the laboratory of Dr. Stephen Girardin. In 2017, Matthew joined Dr. Pamer’s laboratory and is currently studying colonization resistance against Klebsiella pneumoniae.
